Travel insurance for Europe is generally split into two regions, Europe 1 or Europe 2. This is because some European countries are more 'toxic-loaded', meaning that the cost of medical expenses is likely to be more expensive.

Depending on the policy you purchase, the exact countries in either Europe 1 or Europe 2, will vary.
