Impetigo is a highly contagious skin infection that causes sores and blisters, common among young children in particular but can affect people of any age. Not usually serious it often improves within a week of treatment or a few weeks without treatment. Although it doesn't usually affect your ability to travel it can be covered as a medical condition and should be added to your travel insurance to prevent cover being invalidated due to it. It can be helpful anyway as some airlines may refuse passage should they feel you are contagious, if you have declared the condition your travel insurance cover will not be invalidated.
