What is IPT and do you include it?

IPT which stands for Insurance Premium Tax is a type of tax which applies to all general insurance premiums, as these are not subject to Value Added Tax. IPT is set currently set at 20%, in line with VAT, for the majority of insurance premiums.

IPT operates on two levels, with Travel Insurance falling under the 20% tax rate.

IPT at a rate of 20% is included for all of our quotations.

What is a CVV number?

CVV, or Card Verification Value, is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are in possession of your credit or debit card.

The CVV Number on your credit card or debit card is a 3-digit number on VISA/MASTERCARD branded credit and debit cards and is usually printed on or next to the signature panel on the back of the card.

On your American Express branded credit or debit card it is normally a 4-digit numeric code found on the front of your card just above and to the right of your main card number.

I haven't received my policy documents, what do I do?

After purchasing your policy the confirmation page will show your Policy documents in pdf format which you can download at that time. We also send out an email confirmation to the email address provided so please ensure the address you give us is correct.

If you have requested a postal copy of your documents available at an additional cost of £4.95 these will be sent out to you within 5 working days.
